Château de Montifaud Cognac is served at 20–22°C in a snifter. Let the drink “breathe” and enjoy the aroma. Drink after a meal with chocolate or cheese; younger ones — with ice, older ones — neat only.
For many generations, our vineyards today occupy 150 hectares in the two most prestigious cognac growing regions — Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne, whose soils contain a high content of active limestone. It is this chalk component that is the determining factor in the quality of our “eaux-de-vie” (wine spirits).
Our wines are distilled together with the lees to enhance the aroma and give the "eaux-de-vie" greater softness and roundness.
During the aging of our eaux-de-vie, in accordance with family tradition, we prioritize the floral and fruity character of the cognac. Our barrels, with a volume of 350 liters, are made of oak from the Limousin region.
In 2006, we also invested in a special blending warehouse, where we combined traditional methods with modern technologies — this optimizes quality and reveals the full pleasure of the aromas.
Bottling is carried out directly at the Château, adhering to quality and traceability standards, in accordance with the legal requirements of each country to which our cognacs are exported.

Château de Montifaud Cognac is valued for its family traditions, which span over 150 years, and a complete production cycle — from its own vineyards to bottling. It is a cognac with character that combines softness and aromatic depth thanks to the special soil of the Grande and Petite Champagne regions. Its uniqueness also lies in the fact that “vieilles eaux” — old aged water, which is left in oak barrels for several months or even years, is used to dilute the spirit to the required strength. This softens the taste and adds harmony, which is why Château de Montifaud has an exceptionally balanced and elegant character that is best revealed through slow, careful tasting.
